It’s been a week since the big storm, and huge snow mounds still pepper areas across the Lynchburg area, despite the milder temperatures. Lynchburg Public Works Director says the department protocol is to let the snow piles melt naturally. Officials say they won’t be moving them unless they cause traffic issues. The department has been responding to complaints, such as blocked driveways— but, according to media outlets, the department does not foresee any issues with drainage systems, even though some storm drains are currently blocked by snow. If any problems do arise, they’ll work with Water Resources to keep things running smoothly.
