Authorities have confirmed that the driver who crashed at a sobriety checkpoint on Route 460 at the Bedford/Campbell County line on May 24, committed suicide. The Virginia State Police say the medical examiner determined 25 year old, Emerson Evans, died from a gunshot wound.
