Virginia State Police say they are searching for a motorist who fled the scene of an accident that killed two people in Pittsylvania County. Media outlets reports the head-on accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Authorities says two people died, while two injured juveniles were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Police are seeking a man believed to be a driver of one of the vehicles, who fled on foot. The wreck killed one driver, 19-year-old William L. Ward and his rear-seat passenger, 17-year-old Donovan Stone. The physical evidence shows speed and alcohol were factors in the crash—Investigators say Ward did not cause the crash.
