Stormwater Management To Be Decided Today in Appomattox County

The Appomattox County Board of Supervisors today is expected to decide on the stormwater management program issue. Localities were initially required to assume the management of the state-mandated program by July 1. But due to new legislation, most have the option to opt out and let the state’s Department of Environmental Quality, which currently manages the program, continue overseeing it. Campbell and Bedford counties already have chosen to oversee their own programs.
