David Snead Jr.From The Lynchburg Police Department: The Lynchburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has been actively investigating the burglaries at the White Hart Café, and other area businesses, since they were first reported on Monday December 14, 2015. During the course of the investigation David Allen Snead Jr., 29 of Lynchburg, was developed as a suspect in the burglaries, as well as, several other thefts in Lynchburg. With the assistance of the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police, Lynchburg Police Detectives located Snead in Pittsylvania County on December 19, 2015 in a stolen vehicle. Snead was arrested and charged with: 3 counts of Burglary at the White Hart Café 2 counts of Grand Larceny from the White Hart Café Grand Larceny of a firearm (theft from a vehicle) Receiving stolen property Obtaining money by false pretenses Tampering with a vehicle 2 counts of Grand Larceny of an automobile Grand Larceny of a bicycle Snead is currently being held at the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center with no bond.
