UPDATED NEWS RELEASE: Campbell County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public as well as the tireless efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies and professionals for the apprehension and arrest of the two suspects responsible for the burglary of the Dollar General retail store located in Brookneal. The following subjects were arrested, and are being held in the Halifax County Regional Jail: Shyheim Marquay Williams; age 21 and Tyquanta Aon Moorman; age 23.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office wishes to commend the efforts and collaboration of its deputies, along with the Town of Brookneal Police Department and the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office staff.

PREVIOUS: The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and the Brookneal Police Department, along with other law enforcement agencies, are conducting an investigation into the theft of a local retail store, and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the responsible parties.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., two unidentified male subjects, one of which was displaying a firearm (handgun), entered into the Dollar General store (Brookneal Hwy) and proceeded to rob the store then flee on foot after taking an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.
