The following was posted on the Sweet Briar College web site: The lockdown has been lifted. At this time, no evidence of an intruder has been found. However, local law enforcement and Virginia State Police will remain on campus, investigating the incident and providing additional security. The front gate will be staffed by a law enforcement officer, and all other gates will remain locked and monitored by a safety officer. You are free to resume normal activity, but please remain vigilant about your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to Campus Safety by calling (434) 381-6111. Updates will provided as warranted.
