The Bedford County Board of Supervisors last week tentatively assigned the allocation of future revenue toward three major projects. The total revenue accrued from a two-cent real-estate tax hike, the first in 12 years, will be divided among the future landfill project, a new fire and emergency service apparatus and money for a new Bedford middle school. The board is expected to vote to approve the $89 million budget later this month.
