The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute is seeking 25 teenage drivers to participate in a study on driving behavior. Teenagers, ages 15 years and 6 months to 16 years old may be eligible for the study upon receiving a learner’s permit. Participating teens must have held the learner’s permit for two weeks or less at the beginning of the study and be available during daytime, which can be after school. According study administrators, teens must have parental permission to participate, and the parent must be willing to take part. The owner of the vehicle has to be willing to allow the VTTI to equip the vehicle with a non-permanent collection data system. The parent will receive $25 and the teenager will receive $775 if all study requirements are met. The study will last 19-month; and all data is confidential. To learn more visit: www.vtti.vt.edu
