One scam involves phone calls from someone impersonating the electric company, law enforcement, IRS or debt collectors, threatening legal action for a bill unpaid. Another related scam is called the bond or jail scam requesting money for a friend or loved one. In addition, there are construction frauds, driveway paving, house painting scams and other scams that occur door-to-door.
