Lynchburg City Council today will be considering a new master plan for the Tinbridge Hill neighborhood off Fifth Street. Some of the more than 30 recommendations expected to be discussed during the meeting include building a trailhead connection to the Blackwater Creek Trail system and installing new sidewalks. According to media outlets, Parks & Recreation is working to secure an easement from the railroad to construct the trailhead. The city’s grant advisory committee recently recommended earmarking federal community grant money, after officials indicated a desire to build new sidewalks along more than 20 blocks.
