Troop Memorial Slated to Arrive in HillCity by Weekend

The Lima Company Memorial: The Eyes of Freedom arrives in Lynchburg Friday. The painting memorial depicts 23 fallen Marines from the Lima Company which faced high casualties during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The motorcade is expected to pass by the weekly troops support rally at Monument Terrace tomorrow, on its way to the CallahamBuilding on Commerce Street, where it will be on display from 5 p.m. Friday through noon next Thursday.
