

From Lynchburg Police: Over the past several months the Lynchburg Police Department investigated a large scale marijuana distribution operation. From February 9th – 11th, 2016 members of the Lynchburg Police Department, the Central Virginia Drug Task Force (CVDTF), the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office executed multiple search warrants in the City of Lynchburg, Campbell County and Bedford County.As a result of this investigation approximately 58 pounds of high grade marijuana, believed to have been shipped from California, was seized.Randall Floyd Simpson, age 58 of Forest, VA, was arrested for possession with intent to sell, give or distribute more than five pounds of marijuana. Simpson is being held at the BRRJA with No Bond. David Christopher Johnson, age 36 of Goode, VA, was arrested for possession with intent to sell, give or distribute more than one-half ounce but not more than five pounds of marijuana. Johnson was being held at the BRRJA with a $10,000 secured bond. Multiple vehicles and more than $65,000 was seized by the Lynchburg Police Department.
