From the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office: On Saturday July 19, 2014 at 1:30 p.m., a Bedford County sheriff’s deputy responded to 2478 Tucker Terrace, Evington, Virginia after receiving a call from a neighbor. The caller advised that he went to the address because he had not seen the woman and her son who lived there for several days. When he arrived he found the partially decomposed body of a female in the yard. After arriving on the scene and while checking the area, deputies found the remains of a dog and the partially decomposed remains of a male. The victim’s remains were transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke to be positively identified and cause of death determined.
