The Lynchburg School Board voted last night to make masks optional for students beginning March 1st. It’s in line with legislation from the General Assembly and Governor Youngkin.
The vote was 7-1. School board member Dr. Atul Gupta wanted masks to be optional immediately:
Teachers will still have to wear masks, and students will have to wear them on school buses.
