LynchburgCitySchoolsThe Lynchburg City School Board is hosting a public hearing this evening. According to sources, the board is not scheduled to discuss next school year’s budget at tonight’s meeting, following the hearing. Instead, it will consider other agenda items and vote on a Memorandum of Understanding with nonprofit Lynchburg Beacon of Hope. The school division will also unveil the winner of the first “Award for Excellence in Science Scholarship.” The meeting will be held at 5:30 this evening at the School administration building on Court Street. The school board in future meetings will consider budget proposals.
