Lynchburg and state health officials are advising some city residents to use boiled tap water or bottled water for safe drinking and cooking. It’s the result of a water line break on U.S. 460 near Falwell Airport affecting Pleasant Valley, Tyreeanna, and U.S. 460 east of the Campbell Avenue interchange. Lynchburg Director of Water Resources Tim Mitchell tells Reporter Andre Whitehead the problem started when a VDOT contractor broke a service line Wednesday evening.
