Water Authority Applies Mandatory Connection Policy

The Bedford Regional Water Authority, this week, announced that the mandatory connections policy will apply throughout the county. The state grants local government authority to require owners, tenants or occupants of a land “reasonably served” by the system to connect to it. The BRWA policy refers only to new structures. According to sources, if a well fails, residents who had been using it will be required to hook up.
