bedford county schools logoWhether Bedford County Schools will shoulder the entire cost of a sewer line to hook up Moneta Elementary to the Bedford Regional Water Authority may come down to a vote by the authority board on Tuesday. According to the News & Advance, the authority also is scheduled to decide whether to wave connection fees for the schools, which may be paying for the entire water line even after receiving pledges from both the Moneta-area businessman and the Bedford County Board of Supervisors to share the cost. The septic system failed a few weeks before school ended. The high cost to repair the system is one reason Moneta Elementary was considered for closure along with Body Camp Elementary after an independent study recommended the closure of a school in the Staunton River zone.
