The woman who prosecutors say tied an extension cord around her 1-year-old child’s neck and sent a photo to the baby’s father has pled guilty to one count of child endangerment. 28 year old, Charitye Tanner was arrested in September and the child was removed home at that time; she claims the incident came during a custody dispute and that she had no intentions of hurting the child. Tanner was sentenced to a four-year suspended prison sentence in Bedford yesterday. She’ll spend two of those years on supervised probation. The prosecutor said Tanner has been to counseling and has regained unsupervised visitation with her child.
