The former bookkeeper of Witt Mechanical will serve three years in prison for embezzlement. Vickie Elkins McPhearson pleaded guilty in November to stealing $110,000 from the Bedford business; she was convicted of three counts of embezzlement and three counts of money laundering. On Tuesday she was sentenced to the three years; the judge also ruled that she serve supervised probation for five years and ordered her to pay the money back.
