Wrongful Death Lawsuit Trial Set for Next April

A trial date has been set for April of 2015 in a wrongful death lawsuit against an out-of-state truck driver responsible for the wreck that killed a Madison Heights garage owner in February of 2012. 64 year old, Claude Dennis Cash, the owner of Cash’s Garage, was struck by the passing tractor-trailer while he was working to clear the roadway after a truck hauling gravel overturned on Route 130. Cash’s widow, filed the over 10-million dollar lawsuit in last October against Rodolfo Pacheco Jr., the driver. VDOT workers at the scene and the Commonwealth of Virginia are also listed as defendants. Cash seeks compensatory damages and punitive damages.
