While the Affordable Care Act has been on the minds of millions of Americans; a recent report shows Virginia has been successful making sure children are receiving health care coverage. A study by Georgetown University Center for Children and Families found that the state is helping more children enroll in health coverage through joint federal and state programs. The report revealed that about 94 percent of children across the commonwealth had health insurance coverage – compared with 86-percent of adults under age 65. According to the release, Virginia has seen a 14 percent decline in the number of uninsured children over the past two years.
