This week on Locally on the Links, Rich Roth welcomed Faber Jamerson, General Manager at Falling River Country Club, for a Ryder Cup–themed conversation. They discussed the unique energy of the event, noting how rowdy crowds and momentum swings make it feel more like a true sporting event than a typical golf tournament.

Faber also shared golf tips built around his “GAS” method—Grip, Aim, Stance. He explained different grip styles, proper aim, and stance fundamentals, and advised keeping the grip consistent from wedges to driver.

Listeners got an inside look at Falling River’s signature hole #3, a downhill par-three over water that demands accuracy and smart decision-making. They wrapped up by talking about a fun two-man betting game called Hammer, which adds strategy and excitement to casual rounds.

Locally on the Links is presented by The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa.
