Discover the ultimate guide to summer living in Central Virginia! In this edition of The HOME Show, hosts Trish Roth and Rich Roth, alongside producer Ashley, dive into the brand-new summer issue of HOME magazine—featuring a stunning mountain-oasis pool cover.
First, Hans Ulrich, owner of Hill City Builders, joins the studio to break down everything you need to know about custom outdoor living. From the cost-saving benefits of composite vs. wood decking to safely integrating fire pits into your patio and how modern, energy-efficient windows protect your home’s climate, Hans shares expert local advice to get your house in order.
Then, we welcome Jay White, Executive Director of Lynchburg’s historic Old City Cemetery. Jay shares why this timeless 1806 landmark is so much more than a cemetery. Discover its history as an arboretum, meet the famous resident goats (Morris, Baxter, and Samson), get the details on the upcoming Candlelight Tours with End Station Theater Company, and hear the fascinating, salacious tale of Lynchburg’s historical “bawdy ladies.”
