The Morningline
Weekdays from 6-9 am on 105.9 FM
"If you're talking about it, we're talking about it!"
That’s the motto of The Morningline, a vibrant and engaging talk show from 6-9 am weekdays on WLNI. Veteran hosts Mari White and Brian Weigand, along with producer Anthony “Biscuit” McAvoy, tackle current events, community issues and a wide array of timely topics.
At a time when reliable local news sources are on the decline, The Morningline provides local, relevant information, expert interviews and listener interaction with a blend of insight and humor. Listeners hear not only local news but the discussion surrounding it.
The Morningline features include:
- Heroes at Home, presented by Terrell E. Moseley, with local veterans and first responders
- Building our Future, built by L.G. Flint, with high-achieving local young people
- Plug Away Monday, presented by Gentry Locke Attorneys, highlighting upcoming local events
- Movie Reviews with movie critic Mike Mayo
Regular guests include elected officials from the local, state and national level, leaders in the business community, and interesting people from around the region. The Morningline has received a number of accolades including:
- 10 awards from the Virginia Association of Broadcasters
- 2 awards for "Best Morning Show" from the Virginia Associated Press Broadcasters
- Commendation from the Virginia General Assembly for its contributions to the Lynchburg community.
Whether you’re looking for the latest headlines or a fresh perspective on local issues, The Morningline provides an energizing and informative start to your day!
