It was a big show as Dennis and Jamie welcomed in this year’s Dennis Carter Student Athlete Scholarship winners. Kayla Hudgens of William Campbell and Alec Stickle of Heritage are the recipients of $1,000 scholarships to their respective universities, courtesy of James River Media and Play It Again Sports. Virginia Tech Football Coach Brent Pry also joined the the guys to talk Hokies.
Dennis and Jamie were talking about what the Mt. Rushmore of Liberty, UVa and Virginia Tech sports would be with Damien Sordelett of the Roanoke Times. NBA expert Johnny Newman also gave his thoughts on the playoffs.
Back from remembering Memorial Day, the guys welcomed UVa beat writer Greg Madia on the show to talk ‘Hoos Baseball getting left out. We also got up to speed with Fox’s Bob Pockrass on the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600. Bob gave us his all-star race if he could choose 6 drivers between all the series.
